We are so grateful for the nearly 150 people who joined us for our first Omega Espresso Bar event on November 23 in Sherwood. It was an evening of warm fellowship, perfectly roasted coffee and mouthwatering desserts. It was also a time to hear stories of God’s unfailing love.
We heard from Janna Kainos. We heard her beautiful story of God’s saving grace and her God-sized vision for Omega Espresso Bar. We learned how the Lord continues to bring the right people at the right time to help move this vision to reality. We met some ladies from the Union Gospel Mission who emphasized the need for a safe and loving job-training program for women coming from compromised backgrounds. And we learned that we need to do something about it.
“We are in the worst city in the country for exploiting women but we have the best coffee… What if there were a coffee shop that wasn’t just about coffee?” – Janna Kainos
So? By the grace of God, we are going to start a coffee shop. A non-profit coffee shop that’s not really about coffee at all. Instead, it will be about women. It will be about love. And it will be about God.
We feel so blessed by all who joined us for A Taste of Omega Espresso Bar. If you feel lead to support this mission, please feel free to do so through prayer, spreading the word, serving and / or giving to the cause.

Finally, we could not have done this event without the love and support of our partners and volunteers. Thank you to everyone who gave of their time and resources to help make this event a success. We especially thank Intent Coffee Roasting and DDD and Events for the sips and savors.
